The Celtic League are getting reports of new police repression in Brittany. We understand that as many as six people associated with the campaign for the re-unification of the Breton State have been arrested by police.

We understand that three people were arrested in overnight raids with three additional arrests today. All six activists are still being detained.

The arrests took place in the Pays de Loire region around Nantes/Naoned.

The Celtic League will be attempting to ascertain the reasons for and circumstances of the detentions and also raise the issue with the French authorities as appropriate.
