NEWS FROM THE CELTIC LEAGUE KINCORA: SPOOKS KEEP THE LID ON THEIR SLEAZY PAST We have highlighted, on several occasions, the Kincora scandal in which young people detained at the children?s home in Northern Ireland in the 1970s were abused their and also allegedly trafficked to London to be abused by prominent establishment figures. It is Britain?s worst kept intelligence secret that the home was known about and probably operated by the British Secret Intelligence Services and it seems given the most recent revelations that both authorities in London and Belfast are still, after almost forty years, trying to keep the lid on this stinking ?can of worms? (see link); (voir le site) We are still hopeful that the Goddard Inquiry will defy the culture of cover-up and extend its remit to the activities of the home and its sleazy inks to British Intelligence. We owe to the victims of the regime of abuse and terror at Kincora to ensure that the vaults of MI5 down at Thames House in London give up their dark secrets. On their website MI5 these days try to portray a more open and public image. Their WHO WE ARE page has a section on their history which says: ?MI5 has played a vital and secret role in countering the activities of spies and terrorists for over a century. Since the late 1990s we have been releasing historical files to the National Archives . These files provide an insight into the work of MI5 and a behind-the-scenes look at famous spy cases from the 20th century.? But for the time being there are some files they will not be releasing those that illustrate the depths of depravity the organisation was prepared to go to carry out its ?mission? in Ulster. On their website CAREER pages ironically it says: ?We are seeking highly motivated individuals with a variety of experience and expertise to join our unique and innovative procurement team? Forty years ago they were into another type of ?procurement? and it is past time they came clean about that dark episode in their ?history?!
