NEWS FROM THE CELTIC LEAGUE We highlighted David Cameron?s ?sea-bird intolerance? recently and once again it was highlighted emotively yesterday in that pillar of objectivity, The Daily Telegraph, under the dramatic title ?Killer Seagulls? (see link); (voir le site) We also recently had the seagull ASBO THAT NEVER WAS incident in the Isle of Man (see link); (voir le site) You start to despair when you read this ?over the top? rubbish but just as our faith over mans willingness to interact with the natural world was about to take a dent forever we stumbled on a slightly more heartening and enlightened approach to our feathered (sea bird) friends on the other side of the Irish Sea. Dublin port long a home to a substantial colony of Terns has actually created floating pontoon areas where the birds can safely nest and rear their young.
