NEWS FROM THE CELTIC LEAGUE A Cornish campaign group which involves a number of key members of the Cornish branch of the Celtic League is claiming some success in moves towards achieving a greater ?hands on? approach for the Cornish people in the maintenance and presentation of sites of historical significance in the Country. Cornish cultural and historical sites are currently maintained by English Heritage (EH). The group recently held a successful meeting with EH to move the project forward. Celtic League Kernow branch convenor Mike Chappell said after the meeting: ?those present acknowledged there had been a number of misunderstandings over the years, particularly the use of ?offensive? English Heritage marketing strategies and signs. He said the meeting considered a ?more Cornish interpretation of history to take account of Cornwall?s uniqueness and cultural differences?. A media report on the meeting (from the Western Morning News) can be found at this link: (voir le site) J B Moffatt (Mr) Director of Information 16/01/15 (Please note that replies to correspondence received by the League and posted on CL News are usually scanned hard copies.
