Irish-Canadian, friend of Brittany and passionate about its history and particularly the Operation Chariot, James Dorrian came to almost all the commemorations in Saint-Nazaire. He wrote a book in English with many previously unpublished testimonies and vintage photos: Saint-Nazaire, Operation Chariot - 1942 (Pen & Sword Books, 2006, collection Battleground Europe). He is also partner in the production of a documentary film about [Micky Burn]'s (1) life, a hero of the Operation Chariot also known as [St Nazaire Raid]

The team came to Saint-Nazaire end of March 2010. To the invitation of the Irishman James Dorrian, the CREDIB followed the film team who had come for the last shots on Breton ground for a documentary film about Micky Burn's life, a hero of the Operation Chariot.

As a film telling his life, for which James Dorrian is advisor and co-producer, will soon be finished, Michael Burn died last evening after a stroke. He was 97. Michael Clive Burn is an English journalist, commando, writer and poet. In connexion with his part in the Operation Chariot, he received the Military Cross (MC), the third most important British distinction awarded to British officers.
