Peter Crellin, in an item entitled ?Are You Feeling Richer? Land Development and The Economic Growth Fallacy? says: ?The principle of sustained economic growth cares little for the individual, their needs, their families, or their culture: the investors are the ones to please and if you're lucky enough to be in a position of power, they may return the favour. The principle of sustained economic growth is underpinned by one truth: a handful of people will continue to get wealthier. For the rest of us, we have to sit in overdeveloped? He also describes advocates of the ?growth? strategy as: ?the prophets of the Church of Continuous Economic Growth, however, who will sell anything for a short-term gain in the hands of a few.?
