Quebec will become a nation, Scotland is a nation already, what about Brittany?

Canadian Prime Minister, Steven Harper, suggested that Quebec be recognised as a nation within United Canada. This proposal cut the ground from under Bloc Québecois' feet that was to table its own motion without referring to Canada, all the less united that Quebec is located outside Canada's constitution.

Beyond the fact that this proposal looks more like an anti-sovereignist trick, since Quebec has already defined itslef as a nation (its Legisaltive Assembly is officially called National Assembly) and does not have to take Ottawa's rush job into account.

However, this affair could prevent the Federalists from opposing themselves to a nation whose existence they themselves recognised.

Scotland, for its part, has been a nation for a long time within the (less and less) United Kingdom, even though Scotland's Parliament was dissolved in 1707 and re-established in 1999 only.

52% of Scots support Independence. The next parliamentary elections could logically give majority to the Scottish National Party as well as other groups in favour of Independence such as the Scottish Green Party and the Scottish Socialist Party.

Independence will come sooner than later, especially at a time when this issue is creating consensus even among English people (62% are in favour of Independence)!

Meanwhile, Brittany is still officially an administrative region of the French State.

This means that Brittany is deprived of more that one fifth of its teritory and of more than one quarter of its population. The Breton people does not exist an dits language even less.

It is hardly represented internationally and does not control the European funds that are entitled to European regions, because the management of these funds is controlled by Paris, which does not always spend the money !

Nation, Parliament, Independence aren't they the words people want to hear rather that the mere moans from the official Mouvement Breton, who does not even dare uttering the word autonomy ?

Recently, Montenegro (former Yougoslav Republic) declared itself independent following a referendum.

Recently, Catalans from Barcelona principat, official Catalonia, voted in favour of a statute that made her a nation.

Breton people should become a nation ! It just needs to be told so!
