The European Court of Human Rights denying to members of the Russian minority in DŽIBUTI v. LATVIA the right to their own private schools teaching in their own language - and only denying this to members of this minority - is inconsistent with international law. The case is even a rejection of universal human rights since the ECHR uses the margin of appreciation doctrine to prefer 'European' minorities while refusing the same treatment to 'less deserving' Russian minorities.
